The story of Joseph follows a very literary pattern of wrapping and then unwrapping of the chapter. It starts with a dream and ends with the fulfillment of that dream before delving into an epilogue.
This chapter is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus ‘Isa’ (the Virgin Mary in Christian belief). It recounts the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. Also, it refers to many known Prophets of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Aaron.
